Public Playlists
What are they?
Playlists are channels YOU create. They are a convenient way to collect and organize videos on this site into your own custom channel. Create as many as you like.
- Sign Up as a member, or Log In if you are already a member
- When you're watching a video you want to have in a playlist, just press the "Add to Playlist" link under the video player
- In the form that results type in a new name for your playlist
You're done! (close)
Private Playlists
When you make a playlist private for your viewing only, you have the added benefit of having your comments private too. Now you can make notes or record your thoughts and feelings for review later. A word of warning, though, if you later make your playlist public, or share it with others, those same comments will now be public too. instead, you can always create another playlist for public use. Groups
When you share your private playlist with other members, you create a group where only you and the members you have shared with can view and comment on the collection of videos. You turn your private "channel" into a small study group, support group, and so on. (close)
- be sure you are signed in and go to My Page (you'll see a link to this page in left Channel Menu on any page)
- In your list of playlists, find the one for which you want to make a group
- If the playlist is not already marked private, select the Make Private link
- Select Edit Sharing List. From there you will add the usernames for the members you wish to add to your group
That's it, you're almost done. A group has now been created from your playlist. If you haven't already contacted your group members, this would be a good time. This group will now show up in the list titled "Other Groups I Am In" at the bottom of their "My Page". (close)
