Good News for Ron Howard! By Lee Strobel In our last poll, 56.3 percent of respondents predicted Ron Howard’s adaptation of The Da Vinci Code will win big at the box office and get good reviews. Another 17.5 percent predicted big box office but a poor reception by critics – the exact same number that predicted mediocre box office but good reviews. My vote: Big box office, mediocre reviews (a category that wasn’t offered!) Of course, these results aren’t scientific. Nevertheless, in the spirit of “Hey, my guess is as good as anybody’s,” here are the prognostications: Speaking of Howard, he got the comedic blame when Tom Hanks hosted Saturday Night Live on May 6. Hanks was asked by comedian Chris Parnell, who was posing as a Catholic cardinal: “I was wondering when you were making and film and you were meeting with the producers and writers and the director, in all that creative process, did you ever wonder what it would feel like to burn for eternity in hell?”
